just returned from week in abruzzo . spent mainly in villa sant angelo and surrounds . Ski slopes very accessable. Village life provides most services restaurants .pizzeria ,hardware shops ,groceries .pharmacy ,household goods .god selection when you start to look around .
caves at Stffe are a must but wear hood or hat for comfort . can be wet ,,drips from stalagnites .
lots of lovely easy- to challenging walks in and around . local people are extremely helpful and welcoming .
bikes for hire with god cycling facilities .
road to coastal adriatic is also very good . Area is varied in what it has to offer
Definately a much underrated part of this beautiful country.
